update: I talked with a rep, walked through a demo, and talked with a colleague who's used the service. Seems legit. All the costs are incurred by the retailers and the whole process looks pretty easy for researchers. Their integration into Qualtrics is pretty good, and although there does not seem to be a direct way to randomly select participants to receive incentives, the system is set up to incentivize every nth participant.

I've been on the receiving end of incentives through their system and I really did appreciate the overall ease and ability to choose where the gift card came from.
