Hey guys! 🙂

I'm doing an undergraduate thesis on the development and effects of the chronic profanity habit among residents in a specific small community here (residents are almost of the same educational/economic backgrounds, etc). some of my inferences include a) verbal behavior is socially constructed, b) the speech community either reinforces/punishes such behavior patterns and c) members might conform to the prevalent verbal behavior patterns despite differences in opinions/attitudes, etc. ... so i guess i'm leaning more on the vicarious operant learning approach...

i need a research instrument that would help in the quantitative aspect of my study, to measure one or any of the variables involved in the study. i know this is a long shot but it would be best if that instrument is free of charge or does not cost too much (coz im just a poor undergrad student LOL) and includes instructions on norming, etc. i have a hunch that some of them might be floating around the net, but i've tried to search the best i can, and can't seem to come up with anything.

does anyone know or can anyone recommend such an instrument? maybe someone has designed something like it in the past? 😀 I'd be very willing to give due credit to the author/source.. or if not, maybe someone can point me in the right direction or suggest a starting point for me? im really confused and desperate (LOL!!) and would really appreciate any help. 🙂

i hope im making sense LOL and just thought i'd take the chance so here i am 🙂

thanks so much for taking the time! 🙂
