anyone know where to find research internships that accept freshmen? so far, i've only found ones that accept those who completed at least 2 years of college. thanks 🙂

Try the Univ. of CIncinnati College of Medicine PSTP program. In past years they've accepted freshmen. Also, you may want to do a search - this question was posted recently by another person.

thanks. you're in rochester? me too! i'm a freshman at UR 😀

I went to RIT and work at URMC. UR is my first choice for med school too 🙂 I did the PSTP program at Cincy and it was great - has helped a lot on my apps because I did research and saw patients. Here's a link to their page: http://www.med.uc.edu/pstp/2k/summer.stm
Good luck!

Are you sure Rochester doesnt have internships for freshman? My friend was in REMS and an internship at UofR med school. Maybe it was just because of the program he was in.

Over the summer, I participated in Wash U Med School's BiomedRAP.........although I was a rising senior at the time, one of the girls in the internship group was infact a freshman. Look into the program, I thought it was awesome. I left with an amazing impression of Wash U.......their facilities are amazing, and I met some really cool people there. Definately one of my top choices for next year.

Yeah, I'm not in REMS. But if anyone's interested, I found an internship opp @ Yale (Yale BIOSTEP Program). It sounds pretty competitive though so I'm not fully banking on it.
