I am interested in doing clinical research and so I was wondering if anyone knew about any clinical research internship opportunities in Boston?
Thanks!
There are tons!
Your best bet is to read up on various labs that are doing clinical research that you're interested in. Here at MGH there is a good amount going on, especially in departments such as oncology and rheumatology. With places such as Joslin, Brigham & Women's, Beth Israel, NEMC and others in Boston, there will be plenty of options.
So read up on these labs or groups, and then contact them directly! Write a nice cover letter e-mail and attach your resume.
It's sort of a "shotgun method" of applying for positions, but this has worked for me numerous numerous times throughout college. Spend a day gathering e-mails and info, then spend the next day or two just sending out a million e-mails. You're bound to get a couple responses.
Although if you're looking for a summer position, it's getting kind of late for the good spots, but it's not impossible. Sometimes labs that never intended on taking students can be wowed by your CV and take you on. Especially if you do not ask for pay.
Good luck! PM me if you have more questions!
