Hey all

So last summer I did an undergraduate research program (400 h) and then presented at SERMACS last fall. I have the option of doing research again this summer but I also need to take the DAT sometime during then. I have about 50 h of shadowing and 100 h of volunteer so far. Considering that I probably need a solid month to studying for the DAT, would it be smart to pass on the research in order to study, shadow, and volunteer? Or would an additional 400 h of research and possibly another abstract/presentation be worth focusing less on the DAT and EC's?

Thanks

That is way too much research; which is the least of your concern. EC, volunteering, shadowing and DAT are way more important on an application, especially since you have 400 hundred hours.

Volunteer and shadow while studying for sure. You have enough research, I had the same amount and any more than that is unnecessary.
