Hi everyone, I've already done a search on this but couldn't get a clear answer.

I helped do research in a cardiology lab under a postdoc for about 7 months and was wondering if I got a LOR from him, what kind of LOR would it be? (science, nonscience, etc)

Could you get a letter from the head faculty who the post doc works under? The post doc could be a co author, and then you'd get a great letter.
