Research Question

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi, and welcome to SDN. This forum is for questions that require a degree of confidentiality and thus only a certain group of people can respond to your inquiry. Did you mean to post this in the general pre-med forum where everyone can see and respond to your question? If so, let me know and I'd be happy to move it there.

Yes sir, thank you.

Do you have professors that teach you and also do research?

Depending on which institution you are at, there are numerous ways to get involved in research. To name a few: look up professors/researchers at your school that are involved in the area that you are interested in and try to get in contact with them to see if you can volunteer; if your school has a "hiring" webpage, sometimes they will post student research positions - either apply or ask the PI if you can volunteer; summer research opportunities; see if your school offers classes for research (though I personally find these to be less meaningful).

Talk with your advisor/pre-med advisor/department leader. Research is one of those things where you just gotta show up to a professor and straight ask them if they either have a role for you or know anyone that does. If your undergrad is a research heavy school then you could take it for credit...still gotta find a professor. Ask around now bc they want young dedicated ppl who will stay

The university I’m currently attending is a research school. Thank you both for the advice, will try to get in contact with some professors and look into any hiring pages to see if I can find any research opportunities. Again, thanks!
