Hello all,

I was Biochemistry major in undergrad and dabbled in a few basic science projects throughout college. However, after I graduated, I started to get interested in clinical research, particularly research aimed at understanding the people's knowledge about nutrition and risk factors for disease. Quite honestly, I am a novice in this type of work. I have a mentor, but I want to try to learn as much as I can independently before asking for his input. I do stay in contact with him from time to time and get his input, but I still at the bottom of the learning curve. For those of you involved in similar areas of research or clinical research in general, can you direct me to some of your resources for project planning, sample size determination, and data collection? I understand that many of you may have taken classes aimed at such topics or merely just jumped in and learned everything via trial and error; I just wanted your input to facilitate the learning process. I apologize if this is not the appropriate thread to post this question. I am just hoping that some of you have solid backgrounds in related fields. Thank you!

When I have such requests I usually go to the library or ask my teacher an advice.
