Hi All,

I recently was at this lounge, and I frequently see a professor in the Biochemistry department from my University there. Today, out of curiosity, I began to talk with him. I asked him about his research, and how everything was going. We had a very good conversation, and he asked me to do research with him. He teaches at the medical school, and I was in awe when he gave me the opportunity. I'm thinking this can lead to a good LOR and have a very big impact on the ADCOMS at my universities medical school. Do you think I should take this opportunity and start research next semester?

Sooner or later I'm hoping you learn to make life decisions for yourself and not have to consult SDN on such an obvious thing. Once you enter that level of adulthood, who knows how far you'll go!

Hi! Thanks for the helpful insight! Putting you on ignore!

Do you want to do research with this professor? If so, yes. If not, then no.
He teaches at the Medical School so I think I might take it. I don't know why I was asking this question. Maybe I was too excited. 🙁

A lot of people teach at medical schools. It doesn't necessarily mean you'll get any sort of "in".

One thing I do know is that you need to learn how to properly use commas before you write your application essays.

If you like the research this sounds like a good opportunity. With that said, don't expect him working at a medical school to dramatically impact your chances at that school.

Face might be permanently contorted from this cringe. Turkish is unstoppable.

Yes, provided you have the time.
