Very valuable to have if you're applying to the "top" schools/research powerhouses

Click to expand... It's a great accomplishment. But Adcoms find it more pleasing that your intellect demonstrate that you can handle med school, having a good GPA. Being a good researcher does NOT mean you can be a good med student.
