Does the research we do have to be medically related?
Theres a lot of stuff at my school thats under zoology, veternery medicine, microbiology, pharmacy ( well this is medically related), biochem , biophysics, you get the point..

Pick one that interests you the most. I think it may help research to be medically related, but it is more important that you enjoy it and know the research well. You should be able to explain what you are doing to anyone. What may seem not related to medicine could turn out to be important down the road. You never know with research.

Although it would probably help, I don't think it necessarily has to be medically related research. I have research experience in exercise physiology, pharmacology, and business and so far it's been a huge advantage in interviews.
