You mentioned that the majority of OM students in your class have performed research. What kind of research are you referring to? I had to submit an original research thesis to get my BA but it was not medical in nature - it was a comparative study of two cultures and their relationship to the environment (I was an environmental studies major). More anthropologic in nature.
Other than this I have not participated in any other research. What do you recommend? Should I try to get involved with research while I take my science requirements in a post-bac type of program?
