Residency away electives

Hey guys

I'll likely be doing a Canadian residency elective but I am dual. I was wondering if it were possible to do a residency elective/away rotation in the USA. My home program approves them regularly but I am worried about the American side.

If your program approves electives to be done in the US, you should probably talk to the admin at your program to find out where residents have gone before and what the process is.

I can see programs not in any way being interested in the potential hassle (license, malpractice, etc) that a foreign resident would bring.
