I was under the impression that residency contracts were sent out by the programs ASAP after Match. I've gotten emails from my program (welcome from the PD, vacation request form, etc), but no contract. I called today to ask, and they don't send anything out until MAY! I need a letter in order to rent an apartment (to state that I will be employed, etc), so they're going to email me something. But MAY? Do many programs send out contracts that late?

My program told me they'd be out April 1st but I havent received it yet. May does seem really late. I was under the same impression as you. Good luck 😳

Most programs will give you a letter stating your salary and that you will be starting there on july 1. Ask your pd, I'm sure they would be happy to give you one.

I was told mine had been sent out early last week. I haven't seen it yet. 😕

I'm still waiting too .....

This is exactly what I did. I still don't have my packet but that letter from the PD was sufficient to secure a loan. Lenders who do physician loans will typically take this type of letter since they understand how this process works.

Take care,
Jeff
