Hi all:

Just wondering what the resources are to get info on specific (allopathic) residencies. I've been on Frieda and Scutwork, but I'm looking for info on competitiveness, DO match rates, Housing info etc. Also, Frieda has a ton of info on specific programs, but I find that it's a lot of numbers, and I dont know how to interpret them. numbers of admissions, beds, ER visits, physicians on staff, # of medicare/medicaid days etc. Is there a book or a website that explains the significance of these numbers in terms of what you want from your residency?

PS i'm looking for Medicine residencies.

Maybe try Iserson's "Getting Into A Residency" book? SDN opinion seems split on the book's benefit, but I have it and he seems to at least give some info that you can use for food for further thought. Got it as a gift from B&N, I think.
