I have a question for the women. When going on residency interviews, how conservatively do we need to dress? I'm assuming most people will stick to a dark colored suit. But do we need to wear a blouse or collared shirt underneath the suit jacket? Or is it appropriate to wear a scoop necked shirt underneath instead?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Based on my experience in peds, a collar-less shirt is fine -- whatever you're most comfortable in. I would also venture to say that a pants suit (as opposed to a skirt suit) is fine, too, especially in the winter.
