Hi all,

I'm only a pre-med currently applying to med school, but I came across some info about Match Day and was curious...

What if you don't match into any program? Is this even possible? Do you have to reapply?

Some percentage of allo students don't match each year (the success rate for matching for US students has been about 94% over the last 25 years, according to NRMP). Thereafter, if you don't match, there is a "scramble" period during which you and the administration work the phones and faxes to try and find you a slot in an unfilled residency.
