Does anyone know of a website where you can see how many people matched with each specialty for any medical school? I've looked at scutwork, and they have lists of how many spots in each residency each hospital has, but nothing on how many people matched into each specialty from each med school.

try the school's website.

I've tried multiple schools' websites, but many of them just don't give the data.

Many schools don't post their match list. The reasons are myriad - from not wanting to violate student confidentiality, to fears that the data may be misinterpreted (ie, if you see a school "only" has 3 matches to Optho you *might* interpret that as the school produces less competitive applicants rather than the fact that only 3 applied for Optho, or vice versa if you see most students match to a primary care specialty in the same area you might assume its because those students weren't competitive rather than the possibility that the school attracts and promotes students with a primary care mission.).

Bottom line is that you can match into almost anything from almost any school. If your USMLE scores, grades and LORs are good there is no one out there that will deny you a residency in whatever you choose simply because you went to Podunk Medical University. While I cannot deny that school reputation may play an insignificant role in some residency selection, by and far for most candidates it will not matter as much as the other factors.

Any rate, call the schools and ask.

the operative word in kimberli's post is "can."

While you can match anywhere from anyschool with good scores, it may be more difficult with bad scores.

However, someone in the last quartile at Harvard will take precedence over someone in the last quartile at Georgia.

And someone in the last quartile at harvard will be able to match in whatever field he wants, while someone in the last quartile at Georgia may not be able to match in Neurosurgery or Ortho or Optho, for instance.
