Thanks for the link to the AMSA site...interesting though, as many of the responses for my program are dead wrong...
we don't have 30 hours per week of conference (good God I can barely stand what we have)
we don't work > 120 hours per week (not anymore)
we don't have a night float system
call is less than q 3.5, more like q5 or even more on some rotations
since > 50% of our residents are now female, it would be hard to say that "female representation" is only "fair"
it is not "rare" that people don't spend time in the lab, although a lot do
the maternity-paternity leave is the standard 12 weeks - hardly a "poor" rating
It also sounds as if someone thinks the evironment is arrogant and unsupportive of IMGs; not the usual reaction especially since most say our students and residents are amongst the most friendly and two of our Chiefs are IMGs, I am and we have several Prelims who are (and I haven't heard them complain about their treatment)
At any rate, as with most ratings, since these are the ratings only of people who have interviewed somewhere rather than the average resident at that program, I'd take them with a grain of salt.
