Residency Program Rankings?

Hello All,

My wife is currently considering applying for an Ob/Gyn Residency and is a 3rd year medical student. We have had the worst time trying to find a decent ranking list of residency programs for the specialty. Does anyone have any information on this subject?

I haven't seen any rankings on programs, sorry.

I just looked up their info and made my own decisions

No ranking exists to my knowlege.
You should look for
[1] All subspecialties to be represented by faculty REI MFM, Uro GYN, GYN-Onc
[2] GYn sx # exceed ACOG recommendations www.acog.org
This means Vag Hyst exceed 60 by grad, laproscopic exceed 200 etc.

[3] look at funding for research

[4] look at resident schools they graduated from

[5] better programs are strongly linked with universities

[6] want high volume of patients (and ask do residents see all patients they may deliver 5000 babies a year but 80% are private and have no resident coverage)

[7] want generally 3+ residents per year
