I am really ignorant about how the time-table for residency works..... ive heard you first do an "internship" year... and then residency? but i know you apply to residency during 4th year... so how does that work? how does being an "intern" differ from being a "resident"? also, what is the TOTAL time one must commit if choosing...say... a 4 year residency? how do "fellowships" come into play, what are they and how long are they? thanks for any info...
