DO really looks a lot more appealing to me for a number of reasons:
I was reading that DOs can apply for allopathic residencies and osteopathic residencies, but can MDs apply for osteopathic residencies?
As a DO, do you have to choose one or the other or can you apply to both in the same year?
- Increased focus on doctor/patient relations.
- Most of the DO students I've read on this forum seem much more personable and less obsessed with professional success.
- Training sounds like it tends to be more hands-on versus research oriented.
- The extra training in muscle manipulation and holistic methods seems like it can only be beneficial to have in your aresenal as a doctor.
