Residency specific in PS?

I'll preface this with that I already submitted my personal statement. I was talking to my buddy who also applied anesthesia and said that he had tailored several of his PS to the residency he was applying to (i.e. I would like to rotate at your University because of X,Y,Z). Should I have done this? I simply sent a general one to all the residencies and I'm worried now that it may seem like I didn't put time into my application.

Thoughts? I don't even know what the norm is.

This is nothing to worry about. Most people don’t do personalized statements for different programs.
