If I don't get pulled off WSU's waitlist this year, I will likely be moving in August for my husband's job. I know my IS (Washington) allows you to apply as a resident as long as you meet residency requirements prior to matriculating. However, some states require you to meet residency requirements prior to submitting your VMCAS application.

Does anyone know of other schools that allow you to apply as a resident if you will be a resident by the matriculation date? Ex. If I move to Missouri or some other state this August, could I apply as a resident for the 2025-2026 application cycle?
Obviously I can email individual schools, but there are a lot of schools and I don't want to email each one without a better idea of which schools to look at.
Thanks!

You'll have to do a mix of leg work here cause these policies can change yearly because they're based on state laws, not on university policies directly.

A lot of schools will have on their websites (main university, not vet school) how residency requirements work. That can help you narrow it down to definite easy to change vs hard or ambiguous.

It honestly would be faster to pick what schools you'd be willing to attend as a short list and then email their main university email to the bursar or someone like that.
