I'm beginning to get completely discouraged...after about a dozen interviews I did not Match and I wasn't able to find anything via the Scramble! 🙁

What options do I have to still start ANYTHING in July (even Prelim)!?

Well if you're still looking for a Prelim spot you still need to be calling programs with your information - just as if you were still scrambling.

I think the most viable option is to re-apply, there were a lot of people who did not match this year, more than any other I think, so maybe you can take some comfort in that . . .

Pull yourself together and build that CV up! Get involved in some research in your field and keep your ears open for news about suddenly vacant positions. Don't give up. Lots of people have gone unmatched, and they lived and thrived as residents in the next years to come. To keep myself sane through the many err not-so-easy-to-accept moments in my life, I just hold on to the belief that everything happens for a reason and God has perfect timing all the time...Keeps me sane.
