For those of you in non-academic affiliated private groups, I was wondering if you rotate residents. And, if so, do you do it completely off the record (eg. Residents rotate during vacations or research electives) or under the auspices of ACGME?

I've heard of practices offering 1-2 week locums gigs for both parties to try each other out.

Have not heard of bonafide pp rotating residents through: however, it is not uncommon for senior residents to rotate through "pp lite" satellite community practices of academic centers

Our program rotated through a bon a fide private practice as part of our 36 clinical months. It became an integrated site and was a tremendous asset to the program, our residents, and that practice as well.
