I know this is a broad question, but do you know of any schools that study resiliance in adolesents? I am interested in preventing risky behavior and suicide in minority youth and my professor said to look at the resiliance reserach but did not know of any reserachers in that area.

Rutgers. Dr. Oades-Sese (I'm pretty sure that's it) is studying resilience in Hispanic children and I think adolescents as well.

jane gillham and karen reivich at penn. http://www.ppc.sas.upenn.edu/prpsum.htm

I am not sure if this would count, but Dr. Jay Livingston and his wife (I cannot remember her name!!) were/are doing a longitudinal study of kids in East Palo Alto CA (very high crime rate). I think they were looking at resiliancy/risk factors/outcome type stuff. The are at Pacific Graduate School of Psychology.

Dale Stack and Lisa Serbin at Concordia University.
