Hey guys,
I was doing the Ochem from Crack Dat Science and this question about resonance stability doesn't make sense to me..
Structure I is most stable b/c it has least charges and all the atoms have octet.
Structure 2 is 2nd most stable due to O having "-" and all of them having octet
Then CDS is saying structure 4 is more stable than 3 and i don't agree with that b/c structure 3 is not completing the octet (C only has 6 electrons) while the structure 4 is completing the octet and completing octet has higher priority compared to placing the "-" charge on most electronegative atom...
What you guys think?? I have attached the pic HERE
