Went over IR spect last week ... I say went over but really we were just handed a table with frequencies and types of vibrations and a packet of IR spectra to do as homework.

Having a lot of trouble with them, I watched the Khan videos and it didn't seem to help a whole lot.

Can anyone recommend any online resources? Not enough time to order a book because were off to NMR this week and won't look at IR spectra again.

You really just need to know where peaks show up for different functional groups and what those peaks look like. You can learn this by memorizing a chart and reviewing a few example spectra.

NMR is so much more useful in my experience...

Make flashcards (that chart in the above link works too), memorize, take the test and then forget everything. I use spectroscopy every single day, I forgot IR existed before this thread. MS and NMR are infinitely more useful
