Soon to be an MS3 and plan on selling some of my MS1-2 resources after Step 1 is over. I wanted to post a poll to find out from other medical students what resources they no longer found helpful in MS3 and beyond.

You may select more than one option in the poll and I will use this information to help me decide which books to sell and which to keep. Hopefully this will help other medical students in the future as well.

I'm surprised no one wants me to get rid of Netter's Anatomy. Is that useful for surgery or something?

That's the only one I have actually used this year, if perhaps only a few times. You will want to keep that for life.

I've always thought Netter's was extremely overrated. I'd now go so far as to call it the most overrated med school book out there. Sell that ****.

The only things I'd keep for possible use are FA and Goljan. I'm keeping my Rohen's just 'cause it's an awesome book.

I think it is just important to keep one anatomy atlas, be it Netter/Rohen/etc.

The only books I used during third year for quick reference were FA, Goljan, Netter (good review of anatomy before you scrub into surgical cases). I also briefly skimmed a little bit of BRS physio Cardio/Resp stuff while I was on my anesthesiology rotation. But honestly, I barely used FA/Goljan/Netter/BRS physio all this year.

Only ones I used third year were Clinical Micro Made Ridiculously Simple and Netter's Anatomy. Sell everything else!

Anyone use Goljian Rapid Review during 3rd/4th year? I didn't end up using it for my step1 prep and wondering if I should save it as a resource or just sell it.

Wouldn't hold onto anything besides Netter's/FA Step 1.

Never owned Goljan/Rapid Review books, so can't comment on their usefulness as 3rd year.

Why in the world do you have so many books for MS1/MS2? Doesn't your school give you notes?

Ah just noticed. 2-year necro. Damn you person above me!

I knew the thread was 2 yrs old but my question fit in with the thread so i figured I would add to it.
