I dont understand ANYTHING in respiratory physio....i tried reading first aid and didnt understand anything. What happened was that respiratory physio was our last section taught in medical school during physio. And I had gotten a 98 on the midterm and just wanted a B in the course, so I didn't study this subject EVER. Should I do kaplan resp Physio with Kuddrath or should I just do DIT's physio since its only 1 hour (as opposed to kaplan's which is 4.5)

I would do Kaplan's respiratory video if I have time. Although respiratory physio is not really that high yield from what I've seen in questions, but it can be easily incorporated into pathology and pathophysiology questions. I would take some time to try and understand it by watching the Kaplan videos. I watched the DIT video for the respiratory section and the physiology is not really that well covered in my opinion.

Thanks! I'll do that. My test isnt until Nov 25th

Also, does anyone know if there is a difference b/w absorption and reabsorption?
In first aid, it says that PTH increases Ca++ reabsorption but that Vit D increases Ca++ absorption?

I didn't know there was a difference

sure, vitamin D works in your gut so it absorbs Ca2+, while PTH works in your distal convulated tubule, so it reabsorbs because calcium was previously filtered in the glomerulus and now it is reabsorbed in your distal convulated tubule!

but a mere term detail, nothing important

If you have that much time before Step I and resp physio is holding you back from understanding the pathophys questions, you might want to consider reading West's respiratory physiology book. It's pretty short and covers everything well, in my opinion.
