I am on the pre-med track (Biology major) and am entering my junior year of college. I will explain my current situation after I ask my question, but basically my cumulative GPA is a 2.92. Does anyone know if I should drop out of this college, and start my undergraduate career all over at another university?

Here is a break-down of all the grades that I have received in my pre-med courses:

Honors Gen Chem 1: B+
Honors Gen Chem Lab 1: A-
Gen Chem 2: C
Gen Chem Lab 2: B
Calculus 2: B-
Intro Bio 2 (Focus- Molecular Bio): C
Intro Bio 3 (Focus- Physiology): C+
Intro Bio Lab 1: B-
Intro Bio Lab 2: D
Organic Chem 1: B+
Organic Chem 2: B-
Organic Chem Lab: B
Physics 1: C
Physics Lab 1: C

The only pre-med course I have left to take is the Physics 2 and its associated Lab.
I understand that my scores are very low, but I am adamant on staying in the pre-med track and going to Medical School. With that said, I want to know what my options are as well as some insight on my decision on starting my entire undergraduate career over at another school.

Re-take your low scores until you get to >3.2 using AACOMAS grade calculator and apply DO.

The record of your grades can never be erased. It stays in national student clearinghouse database.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I just want to say that I know that my grades will never be erased, but retaking these classes all over again will bring my GPA higher. That is why I want to start my undergraduate career all over.

It will take years to move your gpa for an MD school due to the large number of units you are trying to turn around. You can achieve your goal more efficiently by replacing low grades with high ones as the DO schools (except TX) do.

Also, if you think it would cost too much, both in effort and money for only a shot at DO, finish your degree with at least above a 3.0, which will leave you with post grad options (you can apply to SMPs). After you've finished, if you feel as though you would rather start a second undergraduate degree to give you a greater chance, do that.

Why do you think things will be magically different at another school?

Does anyone have advice on how I can repeat any of the courses I got B's or C's in? Some schools told me that I can only repeat the courses I received D's or less in.

You can take them at CC's. You don't have to take them where you originally got the grade.

I spent a semester at a CC retaking 3 science courses I had B's or C's in, along with the labs for them. Then I spent 2.5 years getting a second major to up my GPA. Boosted it maybe .15, but then again I have something around 240+ credit hours now. The amount you can change your GPA depends on how many you currently have and you pretty much need to get a 4.0 from here on out to make any serious changes. Like others have said, DO will show the most change for you.
