So I took the DAT yesterday. It could have gone worse, but it also could have gone better. I did better than I am used to on OChem, but ran way out of time on RC and QR. My last RC passage had 24 paragraphs and 16 questions. I had to just pick an answer (without even reading the question) on about 10 questions. I feel like this kinda brought my spirits down, and when I moved on to the QR I didn't move as fast as I should have. I have never ran out of time on QR except for on the real DAT. My scores are as follows:
PAT - 21
QR - 17 🙁
RC - 17 🙁
Bio - 17
Gen Chem - 18
OChem - 20
Total Science - 18
Acedemic Ave. - 18

I know that if I take it again I can get my QR and RC scores up (even bio for that matter, I was a Bio major...whoops). I can't take the test for 90 days now. I wanna go ahead and submit this score, so that my application won't be stopped waiting for my new DAT score. I figured they are gonna see my 18 if I send it in now, or if I submit my score later...

So my question is this: How do you re-submit a DAT score? If I update my DAT score on AADSAS will they send the updated score to all of my schools? Could somebody please help me know what goes on...Thanks guys!

PS - I dont need anybody to tell me that I can't get in with my 18, thanks 😉

I suggest you submit these scores and mention on aadsas that you plan on retaking the test. Once you've retaken it, send those scores to the schools asap and also update aadsas. Once aadsas is updated, they will update the schools. Plus, schools can always access you file online, so they'll get an update in no time.

So I tried to post this question in the DAT Forum, and didn't get much feedback. Maybe somebody in here can help me....

To the best of my knowledge, you will need to resubmit via AADSAS and if you call the schools that you have applied to you can hand deliver your unofficial scores (or fax them) to the schools that you have applied.

Your scores are not that bad, if the rest of your app looks good, I would call the schools you have applied to and see what they think before I saddled up for another 90 days of studying.
