Just took the DAT. I think I know the answer but am curious to get some input. Should I retake?

Scores

RC 20
GC 21
OC 18
Bio 14
QR 19
PAT 22
AA 18
TS 17

GPA is 3.66 for both science and cululative at a very good competitive private college. Really do not know why the Bio score ended up happening on the bio section. I actually felt ok on it and had spent most of my time studying bio because I am a biochem major and was more comfortable with the chem sections.

I took the DAT today too and I got AA:19 TS:19 PAT:20 but a 16 on Biology, it was so random and I was also wondering if I should retake it as well. Maybe we took the same test but it was so random that even if I had all of my study material with me I still wouldn't have been able to answer the questions.

Unfortunately this calls for a retake. You shouldn't have any scores below a 17.. I'm sorry 🙁

Schools do understand that some exams are harder than others.

With that low of a biology score I would definitely retake. Study just as hard as you did for the other sections to ensure that you get at least, if not better, on each of those sections. Then figure out where you went wrong on the biology and study even harder. Did you take a top score or dat achiever test? If so, how did you do on the biology? If not, I highly recommend using these test to gauge your performance in each section.

Good luck! It is going to take a little more effort but definitely worth it 😉

Those are actually pretty good scores with the exception of your Bio score. Definitely check with the schools you want to apply with. I know Bio is a pretty important score. I believe you should retake. What is your schedule like? How long did you study? How did you study for the Bio section? . I know that studying for the DAT can be pretty stressful, so take some time off and hit the books again once you are ready. Goodluck!
