I retook it and got

Bio 17/20 - kaplan, schaum's, cliff bio reveiw, destoyer, achiever
GC 17/20 - kaplan, destoyer, achiever
OC 17/19 - kaplan, destoyer, achiever
PAT 21/21 - kaplan, achiever
QR 19/17 - kaplan, destoyer, achiever
RC 15/16 - achiever
AA 17/18
TS 17/20

some people recommend me to retake it
that will be my THIRD time! I heard it's not good to take it many times. (really?) so im not sure what to do...

also if I plan to retake it in september (since I can only retake it 90 days after the last exam),

- is it too late?
- do I send the scores in different time (send the last score now and send the next one in september) or can i wait and send all the score in September (to save money..)?
- if i send both of the scores in september, will it delay my application process?
- if I send them separately, I need to pay the same amount twice, right?

What is your Gpa? if its around a 3.4 then I'd say don't retake, since your scores are national ave. You should get in somewhere.

1. If you can get a good score, it's not late.
2. You can send all scores at once in Sep. However, your applications won't be complete until then.
3. Again, depends on your DAT score and other aspects of your application.

it looks like you improved in all areas except QR....if you think you can do better with a third attempt then you should go for it...if not...submit your app now...

I would be a little concerned with the reading. SOme schools do consider that very important. Other than that, great improvement! Esp in sciences! When I had taken the dat the first time, I did well in the sciences (actually same exact scores as you on your retake), but not as well as I wanted in PAT.

I was concerned about going down in the sciences while trying to bring others up, and I ended up bringing up the sciences even more. So try re-taking it, and I bet you will do even better in your sciences, in addition to other aspects of the test!!!

Your scores may not be the best but I would say go ahead and apply to some schools, you may gain acceptance just off the strength of your improvements. If you feel you can do much better then go at it again but still apply then send scores later.

Are you an ESL student?
My score is very similar to you ( check my previous post if you want to see my score), and i got 3 interviews. However, I got 2 rejections and 1 waitlisted. I think you just apply with that score, then retake DAT in Sept. After one year of applying, I have realized that DAT is the most important factor that determines whether you r in or not. A lot of people with 3.0 something and 21 AA got in. I decide to retake DAT in july. Gud luck to you!
