My university had a mandatory pass/fail program our first semester. We never receive our grades - they are not made available by the university. I have now graduated and will most likely apply ~2 years out of university. Do I need to retake physics 1 or will doing well on physics 2 with a grade suffice?

You do not need to retake physics 1 if you did well in physics 2. Medical schools want to make sure that you have the science competencies you need to do well in med school and be a good doctor. The keys to your success will be your GPA, MCAT score and ECs.

I think what OP is saying is that they did not take physics 1 for a grade. And they want to know if they should retake it for a grade to fill the pre-req requirements for most med schools.

I agree with your interpretation of OP's post. My post was meant to convey that I don't think OP needs to retake it for a grade if they demonstrated competence in higher level physics.
