Hey there guys,

Well I just finished Neuro 19 which is Biological Psychology. I'm not going to lie, I didn't take advantage of the class. It was an easy A and I showed much interest it at the time. I received a D+. Yeah I know a very stupid move on my behalf. I'm planning on taking it next semester with the same professor and definitely ace all the exams. Here's the problem with my school with retakes:
"To retake a course in which the student originally earned a D,
the student must file a formal notice with the registrar before
the end of the add/drop period of the semester the course is to
be taken. For courses retaken after a first grade of D, both the
original and the subsequent grade are calculated in the grade
point average, but the credits are calculated only once."

Will just the new grade show up or both? In the future is this going to be considered a retake or not? Definitely like a jacka** for being so lazy and not acing the class.

Your story reminds me of mine. I received a C- in Applied Calc and decided to retake it last quarter (my school is on the quarter system). When I signed up for the class I waited until the first exam to make sure I do well this time around. Every school has a date that until then you have drop classes without having it as W on your transcript. Before the deadline to submit a Grade Replacement form I filled up one and gave it to the office. When the quarter was over the old C- appeared as an R on my transcript and below it I have the new grade for the class:laugh:. Now, my school does not calculate old and repeated class into the cGPA, only the repeated one. Even if your school calculated the old and the new grade...when you submit your AACOMAS, only your new one will be calculated😉
