I got a 17aa on the dat and three 16. I am obviously going to retake but is it even possible to get in this cycle with a retake to late? I have everything else submitted and verified.

I've seen a few people around here apply that late and get in. But they had like a 3.9 and 24aa...

Why did you not do as well as you hoped?

Long story short I have a health issue that makes it so I only slept around 3 hours a night for the past month. I started doing worse instead of better on my practice tests :/

you should probobly seek medical help for that then... you shouldn't prioritize a test over your own health.

I did seek help but it will take a bit before I see results. I am just wondering if my money is basically wasted because I did so poorly and can’t retake until October. I am gutted as I was scoring higher on Bootcamp

Don’t most schools have a cut off during September for the Dat? Also realistically what do you need to get to be considered for admission (an estimate)
That's is a difficult question to answer because a lot depends on the school you want to attend. As a rule of thumb, I like to see a 3.5 GPA and 20 on the DAT for acceptance to some schools. Of course, I have seen many students get in with a bit less. If you take it again in October you still have a chance at acceptance at some schools. I would take the time and call the schools you are most interested in attending and discuss your situation, they can best advise you.

FYI, If in the future if you are sick prior to the test or during it is best to report it, you might be given consideration.

Wishing you the best...

You can't change your GPA now, but you still have another shot on DAT.

Of course, you won't make it to the early decision, but some schools have an official deadline in Nov.

Good luck!
