Hey there,
I will try to explain my question as succinctly as possible.

I took most pre-reqs earlier in my degree (Sophmore/Junior year), took a year off to start a business, then came back and wrapped things up with 2 semesters of straight A's. Graduated with a B.S. in Liberal Arts...

According to the OptomCAS GPA grading scale (found here: https://portal.optomcas.org/applicants2013/faq/gpas.shtml:)

My final overall GPA = 3.3
Math/Sci GPA = 2.8

My Math/Sci GPA, only including pre-reqs taken thus far, is a tender 2.8  thanks to C's in Chem I, II, Orgo, and Phys I. Ironically enough, I made A's and B's in all the labs and A or B in the rest of the pre-req courses (Phys II, Bio I + II, Micro, A+P, Stats).

I still have to take Calculus I and Biochemistry, as well as the OAT, regardless of my decision. Having started the business my work schedule is 1/4 of what it used to be during school, hence the A's my last semester. I have much more time and resources to dedicate to making the grade, as I worked full time before hand.

So my question: What would you, the genius that is The SDN Forum, recommend I do to stand a better chance at acceptance?

(A) Retake all/some courses in which I made a C, take final pre-reqs, take the OAT, and apply.
... OR ...
(B) Forget retaking anything, take final pre-reqs and OAT, do an MBA and apply with my new undergrad + shiny new grad GPA (3.5-ish)? (already admitted to an accelerated 1 year program in town, beginning next month)

And, because I know someone will ask, the MBA seemed like the best way to strengthen my application as well as coincide with my recent business endeavors,(B). But I could save a bunch of time and money going with (A) and be ready to apply EARLY.

Thanks

my science GPA is not at low as yours mostly because I've taken a ridiculous amount of science classes in addition to my pre-reqs but I got C+'s in Gen Chem 1 & 2 as well as Physics !. I got A's in all of my labs and every other science class has been all A's and B+'s for the most part. I applied to 5 schools, got interviews to all, and accepted at the ones I interviewed at.

Sooo I would say that if you study your ass off and prove yourself in the OAT sections that your grades are lacking (I got a pretty high Gen Chem score, my physics was ok) and you work really hard to get A's in all of your remaining pre-reqs you will be ok. It also wouldn't hurt to take other science classes that aren't pre-reqs to improve your science GPA and prove you can handle a large course load.
