I have seen multiple posts about taking pre-reqs over if you got a C+. I'm thinking of retaking a class, but my school doesn't give credit or a grade unless you got a C- or lower the first time, you simply get a P/F.

I'm not sure how to approach this. Since it doesn't factor in at all, do I need to retake physics at another U?

I think what you can do is retake physics at a community/junior college. Even if (worst case scenerio for instance) your retake grade won't replace your previous grade, you can still show to the schools that you will be applying that you have retaken the class and improved dramatically 👍
