Retaking Classes

OK. I got an F for genetics last semester so i am retaking it this fall.
For example, I had 3 A's and 1 F total 12credits gpa 3.0.
IF I get an A this semester how would the AADAS gpa would be like?? would it beconsidered by averaging the 2 grades up or just considered as a whole diff subject or something else? Im confused.

Both grades will be used. They will be counted separately... no averages taken!! For every class you retake, the grade will stand alone just like with other classes.
