I have a question about retaking classes. I took a lower-level statistics course before and got a C in it (it was 200-level). This year, I'm taking a 300 level stat course. Does this count as 'retaking' the course - ie. if I get an A in this course, it averages to a B, or for the schools that have the forgiveness policy, they take the A over the C, or do you need to retake the exact same class for this to happen? Thanks!

You need to take the exact same class.

I have a similar question. For prereqs GPA, if the school takes either Sociology or Psychology and I took both with different grades, which one will be part of the prereq GPA? Same with 2 speech classes and 2 microecon classes. l got a C in macroecon and an A in micro and the school require either or.

To OP, I believe it must be the same course to use that policy.

You really need to check with the school. I know at WVU if you take two pre-req's that are "either or" they will use the grade of the most recently taken course.
At Shenandoah they will take the class with the higher grade!
