I just took a year of organic chemistry this past semester. I got a C the first semester and a C- the second semester. Do you think I should retake orgo? Should I email a few dental schools and ask them their opinion?

I think some of the school has pre-req. cut off at C but other school have cut off at C-. You should check with your state-school.

I think it depends on situation:
1.) how is your GPA?
2.) do you understand enough to do well in DAT?

If you have great GPA and understood the material, I don't think you should re-take it as long as cut off is not at C.

Well, a lot of schools won't accept that C-, so you will have to.

Now, if you think you can just retake ochem 2 and ace it, then don't bother retaking the first. However, if you need to start from scratch, it would be better to repeat the whole year rather than bombing ochem 2 again.

dont retake any class u got a C or above in. Retake orgo 2, but not orgo 1.
