I'm retaking a chem III course this summer and wanted to know how do I mark the original completed course on AACOMAS? Should I enter "0.0 credits" since I won't be able to change competed courses per this policy?:

Q: Can I update courses that were already reported as completed?
A: No, courses that were originally reported as completed cannot be modified.

Anybody get through to AACOMAS regarding how the academic update will work?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure there is a place on AACOMAS where you can future date classes, showing when you plan to take them.

Just called AACOMAS and spoke to a representative who checked with her manager: In-Progress classes CANNOT be used to replace another course after you've submitted your application even during the academic update. You must wait to submit your application until the class is completed.

So basically the course I'm taking this summer to replace will just be factored into my GPA and no replacement will happen unless I wait until 8/8 for the class to be done....

Wait, so to be clear: if you want to replace a C in a biology class and take the same class during the summer and end up earning an A-, that A- will not be inputted into your record during the medical school cycle?

It will replace the C ONLY during the academic update periods which are listed on AACOMAS website.
