Retaking DAT for 2016 cycle

Hi, took the dat last month and must retake it.
If I retake it at the end of December, can I still apply for this year cycle? OR I have to wait until this coming June? know most school still interview applicant at that time.
I called some DS and said it would be late in the cycle which could reduce your chances for interview?
What do you guys think?

The dental schools pretty much gave the answer to you. Who knows more than the actual source, right? Certainly not SDN. Applicants already receive acceptances by the 1st of December, and some now are already given post-December interviews. I think the smartest plan of action is to apply next cycle in June and take the time to study well for the DAT between now and then. Good luck!

What were your scores the first time that is causing you to retake?

I would advise you to wait till next cycle. If you take it in Dec, assuming you already submitted your AADSAS app, the schools won't review your app until probably late Jan or Feb. By then, the number of seats are reduced to half or less approximately. You'll be competing for a few spots, UNLESS you are a stellar applicant.
