Retaking generals advantageous or not?

Hey I was just wondering if it would be advantageous for me to retake some of my general ed classes. I received C's in intro to music and sociology my first semester out of high school about 5 years ago. I have done well in my science courses and am therefore wondering if admissions committees would even care if I can go back and get an A in an entry level course. I understand it would boost my gpa, but how advantageous would it really be? With the retakes my overall gpa would rise to a 3.43 considering I get A's (which I definitely should). Without the retakes my overall GPA would be a 3.37. My science GPA is a 3.75. What do you think???

It couldn't hurt, your cGPA is significant. But I think you'll be okay if you don't, too.

I don't think it would be worth your time or money to re-take the courses. Maybe if those courses were Gen Chem or Bio, but definitely not these classes. Besides, if you had a rising GPA, you are in a good boat. If you combine that GPA with a good MCAT, you are set with or without those retakes.
