med school grad 1977. clinical internship and a couple years general practice in navy. practiced pathology since 1986

Interesting. 27 years in practice doesn't seem terribly long. You must have done well for yourself 🙂
I'm curious: why not hang around the scope part-time and just make some extra spending cash?
