I was wondering if anyone had retaken the DAT after a year or two of d-school. I am currently looking into different d-schools to transfer, and thought that that a higher dat score might make my package more attractive.

Thanks

transfer or reapplying? most dental schools don't take transfers and if they do there's a lot of restrictions...
what school are you at now? 🙂
good luck 🙂

For those dental schools that accepts transfers, they will look at your past dental school grades. Retaking the DAT and get higher scores will not help you as a transfer, unless you're thinking abour REAPPLYING and start from year one all over again then you'll have to retake the DAT.

But I don't think you can reapply after having couple years in dental school. I recalled that in the application they ask whether you are matriculated in dental school or not. I heard that it is very difficult (or impossible) to reapply as year one into another school. In case, you dropped out and decide that you want to come back, you probably can reapply to the same school. Readmittance depends how you did when you was there, and how the admission committee likes you.

Good luck, dude.

So which school do you attend, med school or dental school?
This is the same post that is in the Allopathic forum.
