Saw that in Ty Jacob's notes, he suggests we memorize them so we can rank acids faster/easier...worth it? Or is it diminishing returns spending the time to memorize them...
 
I think if you learn what's going on conceptually, you won't need to memorize the values. It'll be super intuitive and obvious what's higher or lower. That's personally my recommendation.

If you have the time do it because u will see questions on the DAT regarding ranking acids and bases
 
Not necessary. There are other ways to rank acids and bases. Know EWG and EDG rules. EWG= increased acidity/ decreased basicity and EDG= decreased acidity/increased basicity.
 
Go for trend!

Ranking acidity:
Inorganic > R-SO3H > RCOOH > Phenol > H2O/ROH > C=O compounds (RCOCH2COR' > aldehyde > ketone > ester) > alkyne > alkene > alkane

Don't forget the general rules for ranking and exceptions
