Hey,

I received an email from SOPHAS saying my application was being returned to me because i made a mistake in the "credits" field of my coursework.

i corrected the mistake (inputted credit hours instead of credits).

but will this impact whether my application is considered late by schools?

i initially submitted right on time and i know that schools could view my application during that time (jan 15 to feb 8).

so this might just be a quick fix, re-submit, and no problem, but i'm a little worried.

anyone else have their application returned to them by sophas to correct something?

i'd be especially interested in hearing from people who have had this happen to them and subsequently got accepted into a program

a lot of your questions should be directed at the schools/sophas rather than this forum.

only they could give you the accurate answer. each school will have their own requirements.

I did email sophas, but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

i was more curious if anyone from this forum has had a similar experience where sophas returned their application to correct an error

I too made a mistake on that section and had to make a correction. I think SOPHAS had it mailed out the next week at the latest...I remember it being a pretty fast turn around.

As for the schools, it depends on how they're counting your application complete. For Berkeley, I emailed them and asked them if their Dec 1st date meant that SOPHAS needed to be in their hands or if it just meant that I to have submitted my SOPHAS application by Dec 1st.

Good luck!
